Museum of Brisbane and UAP (Urban Art Projects) have announced a dynamic new collaboration designed to provide professional development and global networking for local Brisbane artists and creatives.
With mutual roots in Brisbane and a passion for nurturing and elevating local artists and creatives, the new Museum of Brisbane x UAP partnership extends both companies’ long-standing commitment to supporting local visual artists.
UAP’s world-wide recognition in the field of public art design and fabrication and the company’s global footprint will provide an unequivocal platform for Brisbane artists, supported through the Museum’s Artist in Residence program, to expand the profile by tapping into UAP’s expertise and networks.
Museum of Brisbane Director & CEO Zoe Graham said the new partnership highlights both organisations’ commitment to supporting local arts and culture through collaboration, igniting new ideas and boundless opportunities.
“We are delighted to team up with UAP whose vision for collaborative creative projects and sustained support of local artists mirrors Museum of Brisbane’s deep commitment to celebrating and investing in Brisbane’s local talent.” Graham said.
“With a wide-ranging program for creatives, curators and Museum supporters, UAP’s partnership will enable us to amplify the careers of local artists, offer inspiring professional development opportunities for Museum staff, and welcome our supporters to UAP’s extraordinary studio and workshop right here in Brisbane.”
UAP Founder, Daniel Tobin said the partnership reflects both organisations’ shared vision to elevate Brisbane’s creative community and support the next generation of local talent.
“As a company proudly founded in Brisbane, UAP is excited to partner with Museum of Brisbane to support our city’s incredible artists,” Tobin said.
“Brisbane has always been at the heart of UAP’s journey, and we are thrilled to find ways to support the creative community through this collaboration. This partnership with Museum of Brisbane allows us to provide emerging artists with a platform and the professional development they need to thrive, while also connecting them to our team and the international networks we’ve built over the years.”
