Nick Santoro is a Sydney based artist whose work is inspired by personal experience and social media trends. Santoro studied a Bachelor of Fine Art at the University of New South Wales, 2017 and has had a number of group exhibitions.

Most recently Santoro was a finalist in the prestigious Brett Whiteley Traveling Art Scholarship for 2017.

Santoro’s approach towards figurative painting manifests itself in a naive fashion. His works often depict a cast of characters performing various tasks, participating in capitalist exchange/existence with varying degrees of banality. The small scale of the works is a dominant element of their aesthetic where Santoro’s satirical and comical observations of such environments are enhanced.
