We live in a time of faster connectivity, more knowledge and socially acceptable self-indulgence. Where a photo on Tumblr or Instagram shapes who we are IRL and in cyberspace; our identities are more fluid than ever.
Not Yr Sweetheart is a collaborative exhibition of hand picked, multidisciplinary Aussie female artists whose works will explore the different roles we shape for ourselves and how they may (or may not) resonate with others.
A diverse group of artists, you’ll see original ceramic works, illustrations, screen prints, live large scale murals, fashion design, sculpture, photography sound and graffiti explore each artists individual view on key turning points of self – from childhood to adulthood, “imaginary” friend to alter ego, sweet girl to sexy lady.
