Objects: One Day Studio Workshop in Art and Drawing

Open Field Studio presents Objects: One Day Studio Workshop in Art and Drawing, a drawing program exploring line, mark-making and form through a series of structured but open-ended studio sessions.

Participants will experiment with drawing as a visual language, observation, memory and composition while exploring pivotal artworks and ideas that inform contemporary drawing practice. The program is suitable for all levels of experience, with materials and resources provided.

Session One: Drawing as Another Language: Line and Mark-Making
Session Two: Drawing: Line and Observation
Session Three: Drawing: Line as Object, Memory and Composition

The program also includes a short art film screening, projected visual art archive featuring artist examples and methods, printed artist notes, and an A3 art folder. Participants receive drawing materials to keep, including pencils, graphite, charcoal, oil pastel and ink pens, along with toned, parchment and graph paper.
