Maryann Talia Pau is a practicing weaver, artist and designer. She is an exhibiting artist, collaborator, sista and lover of Pasifika crafts, bling and material culture.  Born in Apia, Samoa, Maryann grew up in Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand and has recently moved to Brisbane with her family after developing her art and work in Melbourne. Her woven breastplates have been acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and have shown in the Art of the Pacific Gallery, NGV international (2010). Her work was also featured in the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival in 2011 as a collaboration with The Social Studio. Maryann is also a Board Member of Craft Victoria, a founder of the Pacific Women’s Weaving Circle with Lisa Hilli (2010), and was selected as part of Melbourne’s Top 100 for 2011 and included in Volume 1 of The Creative Women’s Circle Book, 2011
