Pat Hall: How My Garden Grows

Deadline:

1 July
-
July 19
Lethbridge Gallery

Pat Hall floods her stretched paper canvases with colour before sealing them in a UV stabilised and waterproof coating. The images remain vibrant and accessible without being hidden behind glass; breathing new life into the medium.

Pat was born in Kent, England. After immigrating to Australia in 1991 she worked as an illustrator for many years and now paints and teaches from her home studio in Clear Mountain.

“After moving to a new home and wonderful community in Clear Mountain, Pat’s new collection “How my Garden Grows” is a celebration of the development of her new garden. With fabulous soil and slightly cooler climate, flowers reminiscent of those from her childhood in England thrive alongside the Australian bush providing a never ending source of inspiration. Gardening is another way of creating something colourful, poetic and satisfying. There is always something new to see and dreams to be realised.” – Pat Hall
