For three hours, you will focus on the heart and soul of textile design – textile illustration. Whilst discovering your own unique style, you will explore key mark making techniques and experiment with colour, line, texture and pattern. Lauren will guide you from moodboard to print perfection, as you learn the fundamentals of motif development, print layout and hand generated repeat patterns.
Perfect for colour curious beginners, this is freestyle, hands-on workshop using paint and paper. No digital knowledge required.

About Lauren Malone from The Indigo Room
Lauren’s work brings a smile to the face and a dance in the heart. Known for her signature bold, vibrant, storytelling prints, she pays homage to her tropical north Queensland roots. With a background in Interior Decoration, she honed her textile design skills at Australia’s leading print design studio, Longina Phillips Designs and Melbourne’s Kangan Institute. Lauren is the founder of boutique textile print design studio The Indigo Room, where she creates irresistible bespoke treasured art pieces for local fashion and homewares labels.
