Peter Alwast’s conceptual practice employs a range of media including video,computer graphics, painting and drawing. His video works and drawings translate different modes and layers of representation, invoking questions about the relationship of new media to painting and drawing, the real and imaginary, or the translation of a suspended moment to an animated one. The varying approaches to media probe the way space both real and virtual constructs ideas about subjectivity and memory.
