With a background in Industrial & Interior Design – and industry that linked the creative and commercial – the vision of Aspire Gallery’s director, Donagh Mengel, was to create an award that encouraged and rewarded artists that looked at their art as a business.
Now in its fifth year, ‘Petite Pieces’ has been re-launched to realise this vision and cement its status as a business and commercial art prize.
Open to national and international artists, entrants may submit work of all mediums (including three-dimensional works and photography) up to 50 cm in height, length and width.
Whilst many art competitions focus on technique, judging for ‘Petite Pieces’ looks to promote other aspects of an artist’s career that are just as important – from branding, to creativty / innovation, to commercial capacity.
