Returning to the Museum in October, multidisciplinary artist Piyali Ghosh will present a moving performance that responds to the drawing installation work created during her participation in Museum of Brisbane’s Artist-in-Residence program.
Using her body, audio soundscape and installation, Piyali’s performance will bridge the space between decorative motif and abstract form, in which the process of mark-making becomes an act of reclamation, including the reclamation of selfhood.
Join Piyali after the performance, as she speaks with Independent Curator and Writer Tess Maunder about her residency and its contextualisation within her wider practice.
Performance | 5.10pm – 5.30pm
Artist talk | 6.30pm – 7.30pm
The Artist-in-Residence Program is supported by Mr Tim Fairfax AC.
