Project Gallery, QCA

Poetics of Identity presents the work of four graduate printmaking students, together with lecturer and artist Dr. Glen Skien, as they explore the correspondence between personal narratives and the often fixed collective community notions of identity, belonging and historical awareness. The underpinning concept of mythopoetic dialogues deals with the blending of personal stories and the collective narratives of a community or nation, allowing for the often-marginalised voices of individuals to place their own self-narrative within the more collective social response.
