WHEN : 4 February – 3 April 2011
WHERE : QUT ART MUSEUM

Primavera is the Museum of Contemporary Art’s (MCA) annual exhibition showcasing Australia’s up-and-coming talent aged 35 years and younger. For Primavera 2010, guest curator Katie Dyer has brought together the work of seven artists: Akira Akira, Julie Fragar, Agatha Gothe-Snape, Alasdair McLuckie, James Newitt, Jackson Slattery and Emma White. Primavera focuses on artists’ individual achievements in a variety of disciplines, rather than summarising movements or trends. It reflects a broad variety of styles and approaches while highlighting innovative work by emerging artists who are contributing to new interpretations of contemporary art practice.
