Are you a local emerging arts writer interested in exploring the future of humanity? As part of ‘Patricia Piccinini: Curious Affection’ (24 March – 5 August 2018) you have the opportunity to enter the ‘Propositions on Imagined Futures’ writing competition, and win the chance to be published on the QAGOMA blog and receive free tickets to Up Late!
We are looking for talented emerging writers to offer a proposition on how art and science can be used to imagine a shared future. Stuck for ideas? Visit the ‘Patricia Piccinini: Curious Affection’ exhibition and be inspired by the artist’s imaginative, yet strangely familiar, lifelike hybrid creatures. Think about how advances in biotechnology and digital technologies are challenging concepts of humanity, and how artists are addressing these challenges and imagining a future for humans and our creations?
Submissions close Monday 7 May. Simply email your submission to emergingcreatives@qagoma.qld.gov.au.
