QCA Galleries

QCA Thursdays are a series of QCA Galleries opening events that seek to broaden the art experience. QCA Thursdays are a space for the presentation and interpretation of contemporary visual arts and design practice, and a site for gathering, conversation and learning.

Join us for the opening of ‘landscape, landscape, landscape, cityscape ‘from Lachie Rhodes and Daniel Sherington on Thursday, 10th June at the new time of 5.30pm at the Grey Street Gallery, South Bank.

‘landscape, landscape, landscape, cityscape’ attempts to understand and critically reframe perpetual narratives portrayed within the historical Euro-Australian landscape painting genre. Employing performative-like methodologies across photographic and digital mediums, artists Lachie Rhodes and Daniel Sherington seek to challenge conventions behind how these historical paintings are constructed, received and our wider relationship to them.
