The ARC Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems (EQUS) Art Competition is back again in 2022, with the theme ‘Emergence’.
In quantum physics, emergence can be described as a phenomenon whereby a collective group of interacting objects can have vastly different behaviour to isolated objects.
Visual, audio, written—any kind of art is welcome, as long as it connects with the weird and wonderful world of quantum and meets the eligibility requirements listed in our terms and conditions.
This year we will have three prizes; $3,000 for first place, $1,500 for second place and $500 for the peoples choice award.
So get out those Planck canvasses. Create something ionic. We’re hoping it’ll be a photon finish!
The artwork must have been created specifically for the 2022 EQUS Quantum Art competition. By entering, you agree to grant EQUS non-exclusive rights to use your entry, with appropriate credit, for promotional purposes.
The deadline for submission is 12PM AEST, Monday 5 December and must be submitted via our online entry form.
