As part of exhibition RAZZLE DAZZLE, you are invited to join us for a lunchtime webinar. Co-curator Amy-Clare McCarthy, will be joined by exhibiting artists Chantal Fraser, Natalya Hughes and Gerwyn Davies from the RAZZLE DAZZLE exhibition to discuss their works.
A colloquial term for good ol’ theatrics, and the name of an early 20th century camouflage patterning, RAZZLE DAZZLE brings together artists concerned with identity, spectacle, disguise and disappearance.
Through the use of colour and adornment, these artists both emphasise and veil bodies and faces, in response to social contexts in which many people of marginalised identities are subject to scrutiny.
Museum of Brisbane is excited to partner with Brisbane City Council on their Outdoor Gallery exhibition RAZZLE DAZZLE this year. From 10 August to 22 November 2020, experience Brisbane City Council’s Outdoor Gallery RAZZLE DAZZLE exhibition curated by McCarthy-Swann Projects curators Amy-Clare McCarthy and Kieran Swann.
Museum of Brisbane will showcase two digital artworks in the museum foyer from Hannah Gartside and Rachael Haynes as part of RAZZLE DAZZLE.
