Public art is a key contributor to Brisbane’s reputation as a vibrant and active new world city, and one that attracts people to live, work and invest.
To assist in the delivery of high quality artwork throughout the city, Brisbane City Council is seeking applications from talented curators to be listed on the Register of Pre-Qualified Suppliers for Curatorial Services.
This register is an exciting opportunity for experienced curators to be listed with Council. It allows different program areas to select curators for future art commissions. When different Council areas have upcoming projects they will select curators from the register and request expressions of interest.
Brisbane City Council is seeking applications from curators with experience in public art or community art projects. Successful applicants will have a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality and well researched curatorials or cultural assessments. To be listed on the register you will need to have a sound understanding of contemporary art practice and critical discourse, artists, as well as strong links and recognition within the arts industry.
Interested curators are encouraged to obtain more information and apply at:
