‘Return to Beauty came about from a simple idea, i.e I wanted to see a beautiful ceramic exhibition. A show that would give me great pleasure and satisfaction. As an artist whose preferred medium is ceramics, I have selected artists who create work that pleases my aesthetic both visually and cerebrally. The work in the Return to Beauty exhibition has a combination of great qualities such as shape, colour, form, technique and skill. To me, when we refer to the beauty of ceramics, the Chinese blue and white porcelain always comes to mind.
