The Hornsby Shire Council ‘Returned to Glory’ recycled art competition and exhibition celebrates the re-use and recycling of waste through art.
Artists are invited to submit work which demonstrates the concept of resource recovery – turning waste into a resource – through the use of recovered waste products and materials.
Over $5,000 in total will be awarded to winners in the following categories
- 3D/sculpture art
- Function art/Wearable art
- Mixed Media (wall mounted) and
- Youth Art (ages up to 18)
Entries are open to all artists and budding artists and will attract a non-refundable fee of
$20.00 or
$15.00 for Hornsby Shire Residents and members of the Hornsby Art Society
Selected entries will be judged by a panel of judges and exhibited as part of the “Returned to Glory” Art Exhibition at the Wallarobba Arts and Cultural Centre from Wednesday 4 June to Sunday 22 June 2014.
Entry forms for pre-selection and payment must be received by 5pm Thursday 24 April 2014.
