Ever since the first edition in Pavia, Italy, in 2013, DFZ has been both a forum about the future of lace in art & design and an incubator for a new generation of makers interested in exploring the possibilities of handmade lace techniques.
The 2021 edition will be entirely online and we are sponsoring 10 scholarships for students currently enrolled in tertiary courses of: Art, Fashion, Textile & Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering and Mathematics. One scholarship will be given every month leading up to the symposium in June 2021.
We have a wonderful international line up of speakers and tutors from 10 countries, as well as an incredibly knowledgeable and supportive community of makers participating in the event.
