Sculptures in the Garden will return in 2024 as one of the largest sculpture exhibitions in rural NSW. This year marks the 14th annual Sculptures in the Garden event, and we are eager to continue providing artists with a platform to exhibit their stunning works alongside both local and interstate artists. Participating artist will also have the chance to win a range of prizes, including acquisition and non-acquisition awards.

PRIZES & AWARDS

  • THE SIG AND MWRC PRIZE: an acquisitive award of $30,000

    The winning entry will be awarded $30,000 and will become part of the Mid-Western Regional Council public art collection. Entries must be suitable for permanent outdoor installation and consideration will be given to safety of the work, transportation and installation requirements, ongoing maintenance and susceptibility to vandalism.   • FRIENDS OF SIG PRIZE: an acquisitive award of $10,000

  • FERNSIDE PASTORAL COMPANY PRIZE: an acquisitive award of $10,000

    The winning entry will be awarded $10,000  and will become part of the Mid-Western Regional Council public art collection. Entries must be suitable for permanent outdoor installation and consideration will be given to safety of the work, transportation and installation requirements, ongoing maintenance and susceptibility to vandalism.   • BUCHANAN MUDGEE HOSPITAL SMALL SCULPTURE PRIZE: an acquisitive award of $5,000

    The winning entry will be awarded $5,000  and will become part of the Mudgee Hospital public art collection. Entries can be hanging or freestanding, must be under 150cm in all dimensions and under 30 kilos in weight.

  • CAA ARTISTIC MERIT PRIZE  an non-acquisitive award of $1,000

  • THE SCULPTOR’S SOCIETY SENSORY SCULPTURE PRIZE:  an non-acquisitive award of $300

  • PEOPLES CHOICE PRIZE: an non-acquisitive award of $500
