Side Gallery is currently seeking applications from artist and curators to exhibit as part of the 2018/19 program.
Side Gallery is a small curated space adjacent to design agency Designfront, in Red Hill, Brisbane. The owner, Designfront Director Leesa Hickey, is passionate about providing opportunities for emerging and established artists, illustrators, photographers and designers to show their work as well as building relationships with galleries that represent them.
Leesa has partnered with curator Rachael Parsons to provide curatorial advice and support to the Side Gallery exhibition program. Exhibitions provide artist an opportunity to exhibit in a unique, professional gallery space and receive curatorial and promotional support, including working with a professional curator to develop their exhibition and to assist with exhibition design and critical writing, having their work promoted and sold via the Side Gallery website and marketing campaign.
