Andrew K and Martina Latimer present Sightlines, their second group exhibition at The Nest Creative Space in West End.

In Sightlines, perspective becomes both method and inquiry — an ethical act of looking that invites understanding and questioning. Andrew’s paintings resist descriptive detail in favour of an expanded field of vision, revealing broader conditions of experience. Martina uses domestic plants to visualise the unspoken, where longing for elsewhere sharpens perception. This “elsewhere” is not escape, but a force within the present, unsettling what is given.

Together, the works privilege resonance over precision, proposing sight as relational and porous. Seeing becomes a shared field — open to ambiguity and the possibility of imagining self and world otherwise.

Martina Latimer is in her final year as an undergraduate student at QCAD. She met Andrew K, a self-taught contemporary Australian artist, at The Nest Creative Space where both maintain studio spaces.
