Stephen Mok & Pru Morrison

Deadline:

Institute of Modern Art

Shop an exclusive range of original sculptures, functional ceramics, and accessories by two highly collectable Brisbane-based artists Stephen Mok and Pru Morrison.  Join the artists for a glass of bubbles and a relaxed shopping afternoon at the Gallery Shop.

Brisbane artist Stephen Mok is known for his fun, colourful scenes that depict fanciful and wildly imaginative scenes that convey both humour and narrative. He is renowned for his distinctive cartoon-like paintings and drawings. His work has been featured in many forms, including a collaboration with fashion label Easton Pearson, NRMA, and the design of various merchandise including products for QAGOMA and more recently Newstead Brewery.

Brisbane based ceramic artist Pru Morrison uses her finely crafted porcelain pieces to comment on everyday life in Australia. Drawing on the influences of a variety of sources, from politics to art history, the works are as topical as they are appealing. Pru has been represented by Ray Hughes in Sydney, and has won many major awards including, The Gold Coast International Ceramic Acquisition, The Ergon Energy Art Award Acquisition, and more recently was a finalist in The Alice Prize 2020.

Snack is a pop-up concept store within the Gallery Shop designed to platform functional, affordable products made by local artists.
