Spiro Grace Art Rooms

The arched lines of the Brisbane River will transcend the canvas, stretching across the lengths of the gallery walls for Sue Beyer’s upcoming exhibition ‘Betwixt and Between’ opening at SGAR Thursday, October 9.

Driven by a unique combination of painting, roller-skating and motor biking, Sue’s practice investigates place as a fluid and shifting set of experiences – highlighting the physical and emotional experience of our journey through space.

This investigation renders a dynamic interplay between the linear and the organic and the abstract and the pictorial, emphasising the finite space of lived experience in contrast to the infinite space of mental experiencing.

EXHIBITION OPENING: 6-8pm Thursday, October 9
GALLERY HOURS: Thursday to Friday 11-5pm, Saturday 12-4pm.
