MoB’s Slow Fashion Weekend will shine a spotlight on slow fashion, artisanal skills and a make-and-mend approach to fashion consumption. Presented in partnership with Brisbane-based design collective The Stitchery, the Museum will be taken over by makers, menders and the mindful to give you the skills to lighten your fashion footprint.
Drop into Museum of Brisbane and join the Stitchery for an afternoon of slow fashion where we provide the sewing machines and you provide the unfinished sewing projects, split seams, fallen hemlines or plain garments in need of personalisation.
The Stitch Lounge is a creative and social space where people can exchange advice and skills with like-minded menders.
