Surface

7th - 24th July

POP Gallery

Photographer Richard Avedon once proclaimed his faith in the power of surfaces, noting that “a good one is full of clues”. Surface connects the explorations of six photo media artists drawing on themes such as disconnection, identity and aspiration, and looks at how subjective meaning is formed from something that is often considered to have none.

Surface includes a range of photographic and sculptural responses and is curated by Associate Professor Marian Drew.
