Sunshine Coast artist and facilitator Alison Mooney is fast making a name for herself with her vast mixed media murals and installations throughout Southeast Queensland. On canvas, her works merge elements of graffiti, art activism and sugar pop, to create a series full of energy, riotous colour and huge gestural abstractions.
Joining Mooney are two Sydney-based artists and The Other Art Fair alumni: colour-field painter Nancy Constandelia, a mentee of leading Australian artist Marisa Purcell; and collage artist Millie Bartlett, whose quirky compositions merge cheeky political commentary with retro sci-fi and mystic imagery.
