WHAT : Call for Artists : “The Back Room” Monthly Art Event
WHERE : Fortitude Valley Brisbane QLD
“The Back Room” is an art based evening where the visual, audio and verbal arts come together. Hosted by Confit Bistro in Fortitude Valley (Brisbane QLD), the night acts as a platform to present artists to the public in a casual but beautiful environment.
The night has been running since 2010 and has gained some great exposure, including The Great South East filming it. Confit Bistro aims to bring back into our everyday life the arts in a warm environment, with beautiful food and wine.
On the evening we have:
• A visual artist creating a piece of their choice over the period of the evening, completing such at close of the evening;
• Poets and storytellers;
• Musicians and physical performances.
The night is held on the last Wednesday of each month. Artists can use the event to promote their current works, or upcoming displays. Confit Bistro provides the artists with dinner on the evening, and of course any beverages they consume as well as a Gift Voucher to come back and dine at Confit on another occasion at their leisure.
