The Bookplate Art Project is a participatory art project designed to strengthen connections between artists, BCC libraries and the community. A selection of commissioned Brisbane artists, along with the wider creative community, will create mini-bookplate artworks inspired by stories and books. These artworks will be placed in books to be discovered by book borrowers between July and September 2024 at Brisbane City Council Libraries.
All Brisbane artists are invited to participate. You could be an emerging or established artist, an illustrator, designer or a keen hobbyist. We encourage you to have a go and make a postcard size artwork inspired by books or stories. Let’s work together to make something special for the community.
