The Hayward Street Theatre Art Gallery is seeking expressions of interest from visual artists and guest curators for their new gallery programs.
The Hayward Street Theatre Gallery is an exciting new initiative that supports the visual arts community in Brisbane and beyond. Our vision is to create an accessible arts hub located on the Northside of Brisbane for all artists. Hayward Street has been operating as a successful entertainment provider for many years, and now we are excited to extend that success into the realm of visual art.
The gallery boasts a bold, unconventional aesthetic of black walls that sympathetically reflect the dazzling and dramatic nature of our theatrical roots. We believe this mellow, muted, milieu is the perfect setting for art that wants to make an audacious impact when viewed.​
The gallery consists of 2 spaces – the Star Bar Gallery and the Theatre Walk Gallery. Both galleries benefit from high foot-traffic weekly and are available for hire.

Pre Launch Exhibit
We are seeking expressions of interest from artists for our prelaunch exhibit. We will be officially launching the new gallery in Dec/Jan 2022/2023 and while we are preparing for the official launch, we would love to have some art on the walls to complement the rest of our theatre programs for 2022. To this end, we would love to extend an invitation to the arts community to be part of our pre-galley launch exhibit.
In-house Curated Program
Each season Hayward Street host an in-house curated exhibition. We are keen to receive submissions from artists looking to show their work as part of a curated program. We accept submissions all year round. If you would like to submit an expression of interest in any of our programs please follow the link below.
