Bribie Island Community Arts Centre

‘The Magic of Printmaking’ celebrates both the magical effects obtained through diverse
printing techniques, and the magic that happens when a diverse group of seven artists
explore these techniques together. The result is an exhibition that offers the viewer
endless possibilities of to discover this magic in a wide variety of both artistic prints and
beautiful, useful fabric and pottery objects.
Works in this magical exhibition have been selected to show the fascination of
printmaking: subtle and exciting textures, sharp contrasts, fine detail, and the amazing
gradients and patterns of colours. The exhibition includes both unique prints from
monoprinting, and multiple prints from linoprinting and collagraphs that explore how
chance and serendipity unite with artistic vision to make printmaking an exciting journey of
discovery into colour, form and artistic expression.

The exhibition is open Tuesday to Sunday 9 am to 4 pm. Special events in the
Gallery that you can enjoy while viewing our exhibition are MBRC Food for Thought:
‘8 Up-Late Artists Showcase’ from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday 18 March, and ‘With a Song
in My Heart’ by Operatif at 2 pm 30 March. For more information phone BICAS 3408
