The Salon

16th Jan, 6:00 - 8:00pm

166 Grey St, South Brisbane

WHEN : 16th Jan, 6:00 – 8:00pm
WHERE : 166 Grey St, South Brisbane

Four of Brisbane’s leading emerging artists will be asked to visually and verbally share each of their practices at the Art Snack shop in South Bank (hosted in collaboration with Gone At Dusk).

The artists will share their work with a panel, comprising of prominent local writers, theorists and curators, who will then be led in a chaired discussion focusing on ‘the physical gesture in contemporary image making’, a notion that is of utmost relevance for the participating artists.

The Salon – of which this is the fourth edition but first to be held in public – strives to foster critical discussion with and between emerging artists in the hope of providing them with a meaningful dialogue and an informed perspective on their current practices and methods.

The artists and panel will be announced closer to the event.
