ILEANA is delighted to present the first solo exhibition of Tim Maguire’s paintings in Queensland. With nearly 100 solo exhibitions to his name, and shows across Europe, the United States, Asia and Australia, Lines of Inquiry will finally present the work of one of Australia’s most acclaimed artists to a Queensland audience.
The exhibition has a strong focus on Maguire’s work from the 1990s, in which the foundations for his later practice were established. Other examples from these early series are found in most public state institutions in Australia, and in countless other collections throughout the country.
