New work by Christopher Hanrahan

Christopher Hanrahan is a Sydney based artist who works predominantly in sculpture and installation. He employs a diverse range of materials, such as pine board, concealed lights, appropriated texts, extension cords, transparent containers, crudely built structures and abstract objects made from moulded clay or Blue-tak to create complex yet humourous sculptural arrangements. For his exhibition at Boxcopy, Hanrahan is creating a range of embroidered fabric works. He has exhibited nationally with Sarah Cottier Gallery, Tristian Koenig, Gertrude Contemporary, MOP Projects, Museum of Contemporary Art, Performance Space, Peloton, TCB, and Artspace (Sydney).

Christopher Hanrahan is represented by Sarah Cottier Gallery in Sydney and Tristian Koenig in Melbourne. Exhibition dates – 3 December 2011 – 14 January 2012
