Entries are now open for the UniSQ Biennial Art Award 2026, a national acquisitive art prize celebrating outstanding contemporary Australian art.
Launched in 2024, the biennial award has quickly established itself as an exciting addition to Australia’s arts landscape, attracting artists from across the country. With a total prize pool of $24,000, the award recognises excellence in contemporary practice while supporting both established and emerging artists.

- Overall Award – $20,000 (Acquisitive)
- Emerging Artist Award – $3,000 (Acquisitive)
- People’s Choice Award – $1,000 (Non-acquisitive)
For the purposes of the award, an emerging artist is defined by Creative Australia as an artist within the first five years of professional practice.
