Expressions of Interest are now open for the Victorian Pride Centre Gallery 2027 Exhibition Program, inviting proposals from LGBTIQA+ artists, collectives and creative practitioners for exhibitions across the 2027 calendar.
The Pride Gallery showcases contemporary visual arts that celebrate the diversity, creativity and lived experiences of LGBTIQA+ communities. Applications are welcomed from artists working across a wide range of disciplines, including painting, sculpture, textiles, photography, printmaking, digital media, design, fashion and cross-disciplinary practice.
Exhibitions are assessed by the Visual Arts Curator and a volunteer panel of LGBTIQA+ artists and arts workers. Selection is based on artistic merit, originality, representation of LGBTIQA+ communities, alignment with the Pride Centre’s vision, and the practical suitability of the exhibition for the gallery space.
Applicants must be 18 years or older, although exhibitions may include works by artists under 18 with appropriate permissions. Selected exhibitions are presented for approximately six weeks throughout 2027.
As the Victorian Pride Centre is an independently funded organisation, exhibiting artists should note that funding for exhibition development is not available.
