Virion is a biennial art exhibition, and online archive of digital creative practice, that is shown via a global network of public screens. The 2012 exhibition includes over 150 submissions from around the world, showing a diverse range of creative practice from student, emerging and established artists. The works have been submitted via Virion’s on-line portal and can now be viewed across Australia and New Zealand on a distributed network of public screening sites as well as on the Virion website www.viiron2012.com.au.
Virion aims to generate wide participation in making, showing and engaging in visual and digital art. Throughout the exhibition on-line submissions will remain open so that the audience and public can add their contributions to Virion’s living archive of contemporary art.
