Join artists Prita Tina Yeganeh, Lamisse Hamouda, Sirena Varma and Aleea Monsour for a participatory weaving workshop inspired by The Map of Nearness at Outer Space.
Participants will explore the collaborative methodology behind the installation, develop their own visual designs and contribute a woven element to the evolving artwork. The workshop invites attendees to consider ideas of migration, belonging, cultural memory and community through collective making and conversation.
Following the workshop, participants are invited to share lunch provided by Filfil & Falafel, extending the opportunity for discussion and connection.
Suitable for all experience levels, the free workshop forms part of Outer Space’s public program and welcomes anyone interested in contemporary art, collaborative practice and creative participation.
