Webinar/Forum: Public art is changing

Deadline:

WHEN : 25th September, 2:00 – 3:30pm
WHERE : Online Youth Arts Queensland

The drivers of public art are changing. No longer about soulless, developer-inspired sculptures, public art has been reclaimed as a participative way to strengthen communities and bring meaning to shared spaces.

This webinar will explore the evolving conversation between people, place and public art by bringing together experienced specialists in this field. Key drivers for public art practice will be identified and examined from several perspectives:

  • place-making and urban design
  • relational art practice
  • social impacts and community involvement
  • putting policy into practice

Speakers include Beth Jackson, Sue Tilley and Robyn Adams. To register, email your name, job title, organisation, email and phone number to ask@lgaq.asn.au

The webinar takes place online. To access, you will need a PC or laptop with an internet connection, speakers/earphones and the latest version of Java software.
