Impress Printmakers Studio & Gallery presents an exhibition of prints, drawings, and artist books by Brisbane artist Claudia Husband and American artist Christopher Hagen who shared a residency on the island of Skopelos, Greece in July 2014. Drawing upon the delicate nature of the Skopelos marble and the unique geography of the island, Claudia and Chris’s work reflect the diversity of natural forms and human experience.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a workshop to be run by Chris Hagen on lithographic monoprint. This workshop will offer a range of monoprinting methods for plate lithography with a focus on monotype-inking, hand-printing techniques, and color. Chris Hagen is a visual artist and printmaker currently undertaking MFA study at the Illinois State University in the United States.
