Liquid Architecture, DNA and the Antarctic foundation presents – White Heat: Sur Polar. Curated by Andrea Juan and Room40

White Heat:Sur Polar is an exhibition of media artworks stemming from the activities of the Argentinean Antarctic Division, DNA. Featuring sound installations from UK based artist Chris Watson (who recently completed work on the BBC’s Frozen Planet) and Australian Antarctic Resident Philip Samartzis; video artworks from Argentinean Antarctic residents Lawrence English and Werner Dafeldecker and New Zealand artist Phil Dadson; and photography from Argentine artist Andrea Juan and American photographer Erica Blumenfeld, the exhibition charts the shifting environments of Antarctica.It raises questions of environmental change and presents works that address the incredibly unique aesthetic possibilities of this continent of ice.

This exhibition is supported by Liquid Architecture, DNA and the Antarctic foundation. Exhibition dates : 10th – 22nd July
