With readings, investigation and encounter, come join this ongoing experiment in collective consideration and social art making. You are invited to address the pleasures and dangers of hybridity, of the gendered beast, of metaphorical creatureliness though the tradition of paper collage. The artist will provide precious contemporary and vintage source materials and teach museum-quality photomontage techniques.
About the artist: Deborah Kelly’s works across media have been shown in and out of galleries around Australia and in other places. Her animated collage, Beastliness, is currently on display at GOMA in the Contemporary Australia exhibition.
