Wreckers Art Space is looking for new, enthusiastic ARI organisers to join our existing team.
We are seeking individuals committed to support emerging art and artists in Meanjin.
Wreckers Art Space is an artist-run-initiative dedicated to innovative art practices. Wreckers Art Space is situated in the former Brisbane Bike Wreckers building that is also home to art studios and workshops. It can be found at 7 Lotus Street, Woolloongabba. The Wreckers Organisers team is Amelia McLeish, Bree Meyer, Crisia Constantine & Emma Schoutrop. In the past Wreckers was organised by Anya Swan, Hailey Atkins & Sarah Poulgrain.
If you have knowledge or understanding of emerging or experimental art practices, you are genuinely interested in contemporary arts, you are creative and passionate about supporting emerging artists, please do get in touch.
According to your abilities and interests, your responsibilities might include:
– Maintenance and management of Wreckers gallery space (such as: installing and uninstalling support; wall maintenance and repair, etc);
– Assisting in opening and public program events (attending the bar; stocking and re-stocking the bar supplies; collecting donations, etc);
– Organising, producing and implementing Wreckers Art Space exhibition program;
– Promoting and advertising Wreckers Art Space exhibition program (online events; mailing lists, etc).
