Are you a maker looking to turn your craft into a sustainable business? Brisbane City Council’s Maker Entrepreneurship Program is a free initiative tailored to local artists, designers, and makers in Brisbane. The 2026 program offers a series of expert-led workshops designed to build practical business skills in planning, finance, marketing, and product storytelling.
Running from 18 February to 28 March 2026, the program includes four business development workshops and a product photography session, with options to attend mid-week or on Saturdays. Participants will learn how to develop a business strategy, engage customers, manage financial systems, and visually communicate their brand through photography.

Participants may choose between Wednesday or Saturday sessions:

Note: Only participants who complete all four business workshops are eligible to attend the product photography workshop (dates TBC in late March).

Eligibility:
Applicants must:

Be an existing maker business selling handmade products

Have stock on hand and an online presence

Dedicate approx. 30 hours over the duration of the program

Be located within the Brisbane Local Government Area
