DEADLINE : 16th August

Musicians, performance artists, visual artists, installation artists and everyone in between, are invited to ravage Brisbane’s perspective of reality, steal their breath and make their hearts beat faster.

Artists from all around Australia are being called to be part of the annual arts event, 2high Festival, to showcase their work and reveal their creative worlds on Saturday 2 November 2013 at the iconic Brisbane Powerhouse.

Currently celebrating it’s 21st edition, 2high Festival will once again be coordinated, programmed and run by a team of 12 fresh young arts producers, mentored by industry practitioners.

Festival Director and Creative Producer of Backbone Youth Arts, Rebecca Smith encourages artists from all arts forms, cultural backgrounds and experience levels to apply.

“As a multi-arts event, 2high Festival is a chance for young creatives to showcase their work in a world-class venue.”

“Over the past 20 incarnations we have had a vast array of art ranging from live performances in elevators to caravans decorated with over 600 balloons,” Miss Smith said.

2high Festival has a long history of artists who have gone on to establish themselves at the forefront of contemporary arts practice. Artists have gone on to share their work at events including Brisbane Festival, World Theatre Festival and Parklife.

“This unique festival is non-for profit and is committed to nurturing the next generation of artists and arts producers”.
