Clare Poppi explores the connections between jeweller and wearer, investigating how this relationship can be used to create sustainable, ongoing and meaningful interactions between wearers and their jewellery collections.

This exhibition of contemporary jewellery presents the outcomes of six experimental projects that employed a collaborative approach to engage the wearer in their ownership and use of jewellery pieces. In direct contrast to a fast fashion mentality, this work invites the audience and all wearers of jewellery to reflect on their own use and consumption habits and consider entering into a thoughtful relationship with their possessions.

Opening Event: Wednesday, 13 February, 6pm – 8pm
Where: Grey Street Gallery, 226 Grey Street, Southbank, 4101
Opening Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 10am to 4pm
