Applications are open for the L’AiR Arts International Arts Research Residency, offering artists and cultural practitioners the opportunity to live and work in the historic Atelier 11 Cité Falguière in Montparnasse, Paris.
Situated within one of Paris’ most significant historic artist communities, the residency continues the legacy of the École de Paris, supporting intercultural exchange, artistic research, professional development and contemporary creative practice. Once home to renowned artists including Paul Gauguin, Amedeo Modigliani, Chaïm Soutine, Tsuguharu Foujita and Constantin Brâncuși, Atelier 11 now welcomes international artists working across a wide range of disciplines.
Residencies are available throughout the year, with flexible stays ranging from two weeks to two months. Participants become part of an international community of artists and cultural professionals while developing self-directed projects, expanding professional networks and engaging with Paris’ vibrant contemporary arts scene.
The residency welcomes applications from practitioners working across visual art, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, performance, theatre, dance, textiles, film, animation, new media, architecture, literature, music and curatorial practice.
Scholarships are available for selected applicants, including artists from underrepresented regions, those in exile, and nominees from partner organisations.
