Applications are now open for the CHOK MAA Artist Residency 2027, an international residency program in Bangkok presented by CHALK HORSE.
The residency offers artists three to five weeks of dedicated studio time, accommodation and the opportunity to present work in a concluding exhibition. Open to artists working across all mediums and career stages, the program provides time and space for creative research, experimentation and cultural exchange within Bangkok’s contemporary arts community.
Applicants are invited to propose a research project for the residency and nominate their preferred residency duration and dates throughout 2027. Successful participants may also have the opportunity to exhibit work developed during the residency and, if desired, offer artworks for sale through CHALK HORSE’s Sydney gallery.
Applications require an artist biography, statement, CV, portfolio and a research proposal outlining the intended focus of the residency.
