Entries are now open for the Kangaroo Valley Art Prize 2026, a national art prize presented as part of the Visual Arts in the Valley Festival.
Offering a total prize pool of AUD $23,500, the prize celebrates contemporary visual art from established, emerging and local artists. The 2026 exhibition will be curated by Olivia Welch, with judging by Steven Harvey.
Artists may submit up to three artworks, with entry fees of AUD $30 per work or AUD $80 for three entries.
Prizes include:
- Kangaroo Valley Art Prize: AUD $10,000
- Highly Commended: AUD $3,000
- Commended: AUD $2,000
- Young & Emerging Artists Prize (30 years and under): AUD $4,000
- Young & Emerging Commended: AUD $1,000
- Salon of Local Artists Prize: AUD $1,500
- Salon of Local Artists Commended: AUD $500
- People’s Choice Award: AUD $1,000
- Packing Room Prize: AUD $500
The finalists’ exhibition will be presented at Kangaroo Valley Hall during the Visual Arts in the Valley Festival, alongside artist studios, workshops, installations and public programs.
